Sunday 12th July: FOURTH ANNUAL ALICE DILKE MEMORIAL CONCERT: The Divertimento Piano Trio. Programme includes piano trios by Beethoven and Mendelssohn.Tickets £10 on the door, to include Afternoon Tea.  3 pm, Church

Sunday 2nd June: Fresh croissants, coffee and friendly conversation, as well as the exchange table. Children’s activities, story-time with Ros at 11 am. 10.30 - 12 noon Church

Saturday 8th June: WITE’S WEEDERS: Join us for a friendly couple of hours to tidy up the Car Park and gravestones. Bring loppers. secateurs, trowels if you can but tools provided.

Sunday 24th June: THIRD ANNUAL ALICE DILKE MEMORIAL CONCERT:
Simon Watterton (piano) and Anna Cashell (violin) make a welcome return. Tickets £10 on the door, to include Afternoon Tea. Programme details later. 3 pm, Church

Saturday 6th April: WITE’S WEEDERS: Join us for a friendly couple of hours to tidy up the

Sunday 7th April: FREE EXCHANGE CAFE - Fresh croissants, coffee and friendly
conversation, as well as the exchange table. Children’s activities and story-time with Ros at

Palm Sunday 14th April: ANNUAL PROCESSION through the village to the Church, led by
the Ryall Donkeys (weather and temperament permitting!). 10.45 am, Five Bells

Wednesday 24th APRIL: AN EVENING AT TAUNTON RACES. Our very popular annual
visit - Coach leaves Whitchurch (via Charmouth) at 3.30 pm and gets back around 9.00 pm.
Cost £30 per person (£28 for Members of The Friends of St Candida) includes Grandstand
ticket, Race Card, return coach travel – and exceptionally unreliable tips. Booking essential

OPEN GARDEN AT HARCOMBE HOUSE, PITMANS LANE, MORCOMBELAKE

Jan and Martin Dixon's spectacular hillside garden with stunning views to Charmouth and Lyme Regis. The garden is landscaped, with a series of gravel paths and terraces connected by steps. Home-made Teas and refreshments available.
Admission £5 (children free).

SUNDAY 19TH AUGUST 

THE WHITCHURCH ENSEMBLE - Steven Mingay (clarinet), Paul Colman (viola), James Olsen ('cello), Nicholas Brown (piano) - play Mozart, Beethoven and Bruch. In aid of organ refurbishment. In the Church at 3 pm. Tickets £10 on the door, to incldude and cake.

a glorious floral extravaganza, not to be missed

Please come and enjoy 15 wonderful displays crafted by villagers, in aid of our beautiful church and organ refurbishment - and stay for a light lunch or afternoon tea. 



SUNDAY 22ND AND MONDAY 23RD JULY, 11am - 5pm


OPEN GARDEN AT WELL COTTAGE, RYALL

In John and Heather Coley's very varied garden (with plants well nourished from Ryall Farm donkeys!) there are gorgeous views over the Marshwood Vale and a chance to see Heather's textile art studio which will be open. Refreshments available -home made-cakes and cream teas.  Home-made Teas and refreshments available.

Sunday 24th June

SIMON WATTERTON (PIANO) AND ANNA CASHELL (VIOLIN) 
return for the second annual Alice Dilke Concert, to play the Brahms A Major violin sonata (no 2) and the Schumann A Minor violin sonata, along with smaller works by Bach and Kreisler.



Sunday 19th August

THE WHITCHURCH ENSEMBLE,  
Steven Mingay (clarinet), Paul Colman (viola), James Olsen ('cello), Nicholas Brown (piano) play Mozart's Kegelstatt Trio,  Beethoven's  Trio for clarinet, cello and piano and works by Bruch and Schumann. 
This concert is in aid of the refurbishment of the church organ.



Sunday 18th November

THE DIVERTIMENTO TRIO - Mary Eade (violin), Vicky Evans (Cello), Margaret Lynn (piano) make their annual appearance. Programme to be announced

A jolly, half hour get-together for children, their parents and anyone who just enjoys it!
The children will be making posies and everyone will be decorating a heart tree for
their Mothers. Stories and refreshments. 11am, Church

Thursday 22nd March: CANTAMUS IN CONCERT. Our fine local choir present their
Spring programme, “Lift up your voice”, a celebration of sacred music. £10 on the door.

Entertainment....February 4th

A reminder that Bowjangles! will be performing their exciting new show - Excalibow!-  at the Village Hall in Whitchurch Canonicorum on Sunday 4th February at 3 pm.

'BOWJANGLES ARE A STRING QUARTET WHO CAN REALLY PLAY. THEY DANCE WHILST THEY PLAY. THEY SING WHILST THEY PLAY. THEY LEAP, TUMBLE, JUGGLE AND JOKE WHILST THEY PLAY...'

Two members of the band studied at the Purcell School and the concert is promoted jointly by the Whitchurch Purcellians and The Friends of St Candida.

Huge Thank you to all who came to the open day.....



Thank you to everyone that came and supported the Welcome to Whitchurch church/garden open day.

Over 170 people enjoyed wondering around the 7 gardens followed by visiting the church to see the history boards and sample some lovely refreshments.

Followed by over 60 people enjoying the choral evensong later in the evening.
