NOVEMBER
Sunday 3rd November: FREE EXCHANGE CAFE - Fresh croissants, coffee, newspapers,
friendly conversation and the exchange table. Children's story-telling with Ros (11 am).

Tuesday 5th November: GUY FAWKES NIGHT! Parade of Guys, Fireworks, Bonfire.
From 6.30pm Five Bells
Sunday 10th November: REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY: Ceremony and Service. Tea, coffee
and bacon butties at 10 am in the church!
10.45 am War Memorial, followed by short service in Church.
Saturday 16th November: VILLAGE BARN DANCE following on the huge success of last
year. Callers and musicians from the Wyld Band. Bring and Share Finger Food Buffet
Supper. Great fun for dancers and non-dancers alike. £5 on the door; proceeds to The
Friends of St Candida. Details from Briony (01297 489546). 7 for 7.30 pm Village Hall
Monday 25th November: WHITCHURCH FILM SOCIETY, showing The Eagle Huntress.

together for children, their parents and anyone who just enjoys it! We’ll be ‘following
the star’ and making fantastic stars and star-shaped biscuits. 11am, Church
Monday 16th December: WHITCHURCH FILM SOCIETY, Film to be confirmed.

Thursday 19th December: CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT The traditional Christmas
service of Lessons and Carols for Choir and Congregation, with the Whitchurch
Occasional Choir. Mince pies and mulled wine to follow! A HIGHLIGHT OF THE
VILLAGE YEAR. 7pm Church.

fruit and vegetables for the decorations or join us for coffee and a chat. 10 am Church

Friday 18th October: GRAND QUIZ NIGHT by The Friends of St Candida. Lots of
prizes, Raffle, Licensed Bar. Great fun in a good cause. Teams of four – call Alan (01297

The popular Free Exchange Café is open on Sunday, the 6th of October from 10.30 to 12 noon, in the Church at Whitchurch Canonicorum.

Enjoy freshly-brewed coffee, tea, croissants and pastries straight from the oven. Catch up with friends and neighbours, or browse the Sunday papers. Come for ten minutes or stay for an hour. 

Ros will be hosting the Children's Corner 

The Free Exchange Table is open, too. Bring something you no longer need, take something away if you like it or both or neither - whichever you choose, no money changes hands. Plants and Produce are always welcome. 

There's no charge for the Cafe (but feel free to leave a donation).

Saturday 14 September: ANNUAL RIDE & STRIDE: Join us on foot, on bike, on a
tractor or on horse for a day out in aid of the Dorset Historic Churches Trust and our
own church. Sumptuous Afternoon Tea for all participants!

Sunday 15th September: SHORT & SWEET FAMILY SERVICE: A jolly, half hour get-

the food we eat and we will have a mini picnic, making a sandwich and having a drink.
