June Free exchange cafe......

The popular Free Exchange CafĂ© is open for another season with first being on Sunday, the 3rd of June from 10.30 to 12 noon, in the Church at Whitchurch Canonicorum.
Enjoy freshly-brewed coffee, tea, croissants and pastries straight from the oven. Catch up with friends and neighbours, or browse the Sunday papers. Come for ten minutes or stay for an hour. 

Ros will be hosting the Children's Corner
The Free Exchange Table is open, too. Bring something you no longer need, take something away if you like it or both or neither - whichever you choose, no money changes hands. Plants and Produce are always welcome. 

There's no charge for the Cafe (but feel free to leave a donation).

local gardens open to all

Two lovely gardens open in the next couple of weeks:

HARCOMBE HOUSE, PITMANS LANE, MORCOMBELAKE

Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th May, 11 am - 5 pm

Jan and Martin Dixon's spectacular hillside garden with stunning views to Charmouth and Lyme Regis. The garden is landscaped, with a series of gravel paths and terraces connected by steps. A riot of Spring colour.

Home-made Teas and refreshments availabe

Admission £5 (children free). 


WELL COTTAGE, RYALL

Sunday 20th and Monday 21st May, 11am to 5pm

In John and Heather Coley's very varied garden (with plants well nourished from Ryall Farm donkeys!) there are gorgeous views over the Marshwood Vale and a chance to see Heather's textile art studio which will be open. Refreshments will be on sale with home made-cakes and cream teas. 

Entry is £4.00 with children free.

June Dates for your diary......

Sunday 3rd June: FREE EXCHANGE CAFE - Fresh croissants, coffee, newspapers and
friendly conversation, as well as the exchange table and children's story-telling with Ros

Saturday 23rd June: CREAM TEA to raise funds for the Flower Festival on 21/22 July.

Sunday 24th June: SECOND ALICE DILKE MEMORIAL CONCERT: Simon Watterton
(piano) and Anna Cashell (violin) make a welcome return. Tickets £10 on the door, to
include Afternoon Tea. Programme details later. 3 pm, Church

Monday 25th June: WHITCHURCH FILM SOCIETY showing Big Eyes, a drama about
the American painter, Margaret Keane, and her relationship with her husband who
claimed credit for her work.

Saturday 30th June: WITE’S WEEDERS: Join us for a friendly couple of hours to tidy up
the Car Park and gravestones. Bring loppers. secateurs, trowels if you can but tools
